The watching loft at St Albans cathedral

            My first sketch with a new Rotring Art Pen. I tried to keep it quick and simple, especially as I was drawing it from a photograph. Even then I learned a lot about the structure.

It was built to keep watch over the shrine of St Alban as offerings were frequently going missing.
