MB656 Wombwells August 1978

            This was one of the last single door Merlins sold off, very unlucky not to get to Citybus, but it did find use as a seat store at Wombwells for 2 years,and when it was scrapped in autumn of 1979 it was the last of the no further service 1977 scrap sales to be scrapped aside from MBS559 which survived with CF Booth into 1980 and some of those like MBS77 sold by Wombwells to Citybus of Belfast for spares
