W.L. Moody & Co. Ghost Sign - Galveston, Texas

            The William L. Moody Bldg. was built in 1883 for the Moody family's substantial cotton and banking operations. This shot is from the backside of the building unfortunately. It's impossible to get an unobstructed view of the sign from ground level. For years the famous Army Navy surplus store, Col. Bubbie's Strand Surplus Senter, occupied the ground floor on the Strand St. side of the building. The Moody building suffered extensive damage during the infamous 1900 Storm, eventually losing the entire fourth story.
