Port Bolivar, Texas - a photo on Flickriver

             The store that these gas signs belonged to was destroyed by Hurricane Rita  in 2005. The fact they survived Hurricane Ike in 2008 is amazing. Ike destroyed just about all of the residences in Port Bolivar and the neighboring communities on the Bolivar Peninsula. As you can see the residents on the peninsula rebuilt quickly.  Those gas prices are from 2005.
