National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland

            Moored beside the National Aquarium in Baltimore's Inner Harbor are the lightship Chesapeake and the WWII submarine USS Torsk, which are two of the "Historic Ships in Baltimore."

The Chesapeake guided maritime traffic in and out of the Chesapeake Bay for over 30 years between 1930 and 1965.  The Torsk made two war patrols off Japan in 1945, sinking one cargo vessel and two coastal defense frigates. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, she operated primarily as a training vessel.
