Diana, the Huntress - a photo on Flickriver

            After ten years of gracing Ottawa skies, Horizon the  Peregrine Falcon female, was put to sleep after crashing into a building during heavy winds. Birds are not human, of course, and Connor the male, quickly found a replacement. Marie named her Diana, the Huntress. They fledged one chick last year (see my stream for pic of Odyssey). Yesterday I was up on the roof of an adjacent tower to see if she was brooding yet and there she was in the exact same spot under the ledge and in the same spot Horizon had once chosen. Incubation is about 30-33 days and fledging from 35-40+  Stay tuned for the adventures.
