Lithops... Today 9th Oct - a photo on Flickriver

When I arrived home yesterday evening I was greeted with my Lithops flowering, two flowers had opened, today the third was in blossom.
I'm amazed as it lives in the corner of the window sill and is hiding behind a curtain. It's probably had a couple of tablespoons of water this year and the soil is bone dry.

When ever I look at it, it still reminds me of pigs trotters.
As you can see, all 4 plants live in a tiny 3 inch pot, the flowers are bigger than the plants.
The key in the rear was my original idea for scaling the plant, I changed my mind and used the ruler but forgot to remove the key from the sheet of paper used for background. Flash bounced from ceiling hence the front shadows.
