Persevere and you shall succeed. - a photo on Flickriver

            A little taster of my first explore of 2017!

Despite being disused since 2011, I was only to learn of its existence several months ago and have been keeping a close eye on it since!

Christmas holidays were the perfect time to hit it and on Boxing day on the way home from my Mums I made that choice, armed with nothing more than my iPhone and stuffed full of Christmas dinner and several litres of alcohol!
 
I done a perimeter to check for access but no joy. I then somehow managed to scramble onto a flat roof, find a window smashed, make my way down onto a handy placed ladder whilst missing my stepping and landing flat on my face on the floor, winding myself! I didn't care though, I was in! : ) 

I had a look round and left a much more convenient access for a revisit in daylight and so here are the shots! 

It's nice to start the year with something new on your doorstep! It's a fairly significant building in my hometown, being one of the eldest left, once the manor of a large estate, long before the town was built up and also the past registry office where my sister & I and even my mother were registered on this earth! : )

Thankfully the building is listed and is due to be renovated soon into apartments, hopefully they don't alter too many of the existing features during the process!
