Aghia Marina Cave, October 2012

            This past weekend, we went caving with some friends and they helped set up this shot. The cave is near the Aghia Marina part of Attika.

Image shot on a D3100 set at ISO 400 for an exposure of 15 seconds (essentially open shutter technique) with a Nikkor 24mm AI f/2.8 set at f/8 and colour temp set at cloudy to give more vivid colours. 

Apart from headlamps (most noticeable in the left foreground) the scene is lit almost exclusively by one Press 25B flashbulb fired off a hacked tilt-a-mite flashgun bottom right pointing across the shot towards the column, two shots from behind the column pointing to the back left wall and towards the camera through the window in the stal with M3 bulbs in a hacked Polaroid 268 flashgun with blue protective cover, and three shots with electronic flash to light the waterfall, ceiling and right back wall.

I'm quite pleased with how this turned out given various constraints. I am a little confused by the colour temps coming from the M3 bulbs through the daylight filter (the light seems very green to me), but otherwise all colours seem to have balanced out.
