The Legacy of Hammermühle - a photo on Flickriver

            The Behrends [Moritz and sons Bernard, Ernst, and Otto] brought Hammermill to Erie in 1898, and this is what's left of the manufacturing portion of the site after the acquisition and subsequent shutdown of the Erie mill by International Paper. The IP website completely scrubs the Erie origin of the Hammermill
brand, still used by IP.
