UDINE. FESTIVAL DEI CUORI 2019.

            ISOLE MARCHESI POLINESIA FRANCESE. TE TOA VII FENUA

L'arcipelago delle Isole Marchesi,chiamato dai nativi "Terra degli Uomini" (Henua enana)dista circa 1500 km da Tahiti,è situata vicino all'Equatore,all'estremo settentrione della Polinesia Francese.
Primo insediamento Maori nelle Isole del triangolo Polinesiano,le Marchesi erano abitate da tribù bellicose dedite al cannibalismo e per questo motivo furono a lungo ignorate dai colonizzatori occidentali.
Nell'arcipelago vengono ancora effettuati riti antichi e presentate danze e musiche caratteristiche che rappresentano svago e divertimento per i polinesiani.
Il ballo serve anche per onorare divinità e personalità estere.
In queste isole ha origine la sacra arte del tatuaggio ancora oggi diffusa e praticata.
