            ANEMONE HUPEHENSIS

L'Anemone hupehensis o giapponese è una pianta erbacea perenne vivace, originaria dell'Asia. Presenta foglie abbastanza grandi, di colore verde chiaro, spesse e lucide, che costituiscono bassi cespugli densi, alla fine dell'estate dai cespugli di foglie si elevano dei fusti eretti, abbastanza sottili, e poco ramificati, che portano numerosi fiori con centro giallo o bianco e 5-6 petali larghi, di tutte le tonalità dal bianco al rosa intenso; i fusti sono alti 50-60 cm. In autunno, con l'arrivo del freddo, la pianta perde la parte aerea, che rispunterà la primavera successiva. Questa pianta dalla coltivazione molto facile generalmente tende ad allargarsi molto, fiorendo con maggiore abbondanza a partire dal secondo anno dopo la messa a dimora; gli anemoni giapponesi non sono molto longevi, ma tendono a fare nuovi germogli, e quelli non ibridi si autoseminano con facilità
