Domenica scorsa abbiamo organizzato una gita sul lago di Santa Croce ed in compagnia di mio fratello gemello Michele abbiamo pranzato al rifugio Carota. Da lì si gode di un panorama favoloso, arricchito in questa occasione da delle spettacolari nubi basse.
Il Lago di Santa Croce è il più grande della provincia di Belluno ed il secondo del Veneto e nasce da una frana che ha chiuso la Val Lapisina bloccando la discesa del fiume Piave verso Vittorio Veneto e creando la Sella del Fadalto. Per l’effetto delle correnti d'aria che passando attraverso la stretta zona del Fadalto aumentano la loro velocità, è uno dei luoghi più ventosi dell'intera provincia di Belluno. Proprio per questa sua peculiarità è amato dagli appassionati di windsurf, kitesurf e vela.

CLOUDS ON THE LAKE OF SANTA CROCE

Last Sunday we organized a trip to the lake of Santa Croce and in the company of my twin brother Michele we had lunch at the Carota refuge. From there you can enjoy a fabulous panorama, enriched on this occasion by spectacular low clouds.
Lake Santa Croce is the largest in the province of Belluno and the second in the Veneto region and was born from a landslide that closed the Val Lapisina blocking the descent of the Piave river towards Vittorio Veneto and creating the Sella del Fadalto. Due to the effect of the air currents that, passing through the narrow Fadalto area, increase their speed, it is one of the windiest places in the entire province of Belluno. Precisely for this peculiarity it is loved by windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing enthusiasts.
