The multicoloured freight railway - a photo on Flickriver

            There's no denying that today's freight scheme can depict a myriad of colours, not just on locomotives but also on the roiling stock
Class 66's from DB, Freightliner, Colas and GBRf jostle for position in Eastleigh east yard. The Colas pair had a Freightliner machine added and worked with the 9 yellow FEA's as the 6Y43 to Hoo junction in the evening hauled by 73136 & 73119.

The imported gypsum (Calcium Sulphate) traffic from Southampton Western docks to Robertsbridge seems to returned to semi regular class 69 haulage, albeit with a few hiccups during the week, with 69003 failing twice. 

Solo 69004 flies past on the down main with the 4Y19  empties headed for the docks for loading.

The cab roofs have been repainted in a different shade of Dove grey as a result of work completed to prevent the ingress of rain water which given the roof main panels are faceted and the cab roofs curved, was always going to be a transition difficult to seal against the elements.
