When the world was young... - a photo on Flickriver

            ... and everything was fresh and new.

Newly emerged orange-barred sulpher butterfly.

I wish I had gotten an earlier shot! I saw the chrysalis, then I noticed a pair of antennae sticking out, so of course I grabbed for my camera, but before I even had it out of its case... *pop* the whole butterfly was out. This was about 5 seconds later.
