Garden gnome in winter - a photo on Flickriver

            Winter arrived with a vengeance this year. Compared to our nearly-green Christmas last year, lots of snow and cold weather began in early December to the chagrin of many people (although skiers were understandably happy). However, despite our complaints about heavy snowfalls, the landscape and city streets were exceptionally beautiful. The same goes for my little garden gnome who dutifully guards my backyard.

L'hiver est venu avec une vengeance cette année. Par rapport à notre Noël presque vert de l'année dernière, beaucoup de neige et le froid a commencé au début de Décembre au grand chagrin de beaucoup de gens (bien que les skieurs étaient naturellement heureux). Cependant, malgré nos plaintes au sujet des chutes de neige lourdes, le paysage et les rues de ville étaient exceptionnellement beau. Il en va de même pour mon petit gnome de jardin qui surveille scrupuleusement mon cour.
