Trafikaktiebolaget Grängesberg-Oxelösunds Järnvägar (TGOJ) is een Zweedse particuliere spoorwegmaatschappij voor het goederenvervoer. Voor het ertsvervoer tussen Grängesberg en Oxelösund werden in 1930 door Nohab twee stoomturbinelocs gebouwd. Met de electrificatie van de lijn in de jaren vijftig werden ze overbodig en op reserve gezet. Loc 71 werd in 1981 weer speciaal in dienst gesteld en hier te zien met een extra reizigerstrein in Ställdalen.

In 1932, in conjunction with the Nydqvist and Holm (NoHab) company, Fredrik Ljungström developed a very successful 2-8-0 steam turbine locomotive, based on an existing conventional design, for freight traffic on the Trafikaktiebolaget Grängesberg-Oxelösunds Järnvägar (TGOJ), a private railway freight operator. The main purpose of the TGOJ was the transportation of iron ore from mines around and at Grängesberg to the Baltic port of Oxelösund, a distance of 159 miles (255 km). Two further locomotives of the same class (M3t) were subsequently built. All were in operation until the mid 1950s when the line on which they operated was electrified. Two of the class are preserved in the Railway Museum at Grängesberg, Sweden. Locomotive No. 71 was overhauled and put into action during the 125th anniversary of the Swedish Railways in June 1981.
