According to its website: "Built in 1926, the hotel incorporates the finest modern amenities while still maintaining the original details and Old World elegance that reflect the grandeur of the era with glass etchings, brass fixtures, skylight and frenzied pillars." 

It is 13 stories with 350 rooms. Its Rainbow Isle Room hosted dining and dancing with music provided by the Rainbow Isle Orchestra, who were broadcast live on KFWB radio every night. Renovated in 1985. (Historic Hotels of Los Angeles and Hollywood, Ruth Wallach et al.)
