Former Book-Cadillac Hotel, Now Westin-Book Cadillac Hotel--Detroit MI

            This view shows the hotel as the Book-Cadillac Hotel in 2003 when the building was not occupied. The hotel re-opened as a Westin in 2008, after a $200 million renovation.

The Book-Cadillac was built in 1924 and designed by Louis Kamper for the Book brothers, major Washington Boulevard property owners. When constructed it was the tallest hotel in the world (349 feet).
