Orchis pyramidal (Anacamptis pyramidalis var. pyramidalis)

            Orchidée de 15-30 cm aux jeunes inflorescences denses et pyramidales, puis coniques ou ovoïdes de 3-12 cm. Feuilles lancéolées-linéaires, non maculées, les supérieures réduites à leur gaine. Fleurs rose pourpre, à éperon très long et grêle. Labelle de 6-9 mm, plus large que long, à 3 lobes presque égaux, muni à sa base de 2 lamelles saillantes. Eperon filiforme, grêle et arqué, orienté vers le bas.

Cette espèce se distingue notamment par les pollinies portées par 1 seul rétinacle, en forme de lanière arquée et semi-circulaire. Caractéristique des pelouses et friches mésophiles, elle est favorisée par son aptitude à coloniser des "néobiotopes", ce qui la rend peu vulnérable dans le Vexin où elle est assez répandue (cf. H des Abbayes, P Jauzein et Les Orchidées, Parthénope).
