Portrait of a lovely Alaskan lass (IMG_0897a)

            We had a group shoot at the Kincaid sand dunes in West Anchorage in July 2011. This may have been our best shoot of the season; absolutely great day, warm, sunny, no wind, excellent lighting, and incredible models - most of them were brand new to us.

This was our first shoot with Ashley - I don't think she ever shot before but she was a natural in front of the camera. I only had about 15 minutes to shoot with her so I had to make the most of it - and I love the way these photos turned out. Way to go Ashley - and come shoot with us again!

Strobist info: I used a 2 flash set-up; a Canon 580 EX II at 1/2 power and a Vivitar 285 HV at 1/4 power. I think I had the flashes about 10-12 feet from Ashley at 45 degree angles to her. I triggered the flash using a Cybersync transmitter and receivers.
