,IF GREETING CARDS are anything to go by, this is the nations (UK) favorite bird, and one off mine, have not posted one for a while so hear goes, a few facts as follows,
Resident in the U.K all year round.
Very widespread, and territorial.
Rather plaintive, melancholy song almost anytime of the year.
Require a semi open fronted nest box to breed.
Will take to feeders, a bit awkwardly in a snatch and grab style.
Often seek humans in the hope of scraps of food.
