I CAN SEE MY WORKPLACE FROM HEEEEEEERE (except it's hidden behind bigger buildings)

Furthermore:

- I gave this sick helicopter ride its own album. Check it the fuck out! :D

- My adventurous ex-coworker C had asked me a few weeks earlier if I wanted to join her and her 2 friends on this tour. The helicopter could take 4 passengers for a total of 8000 SEK (for 45 minutes), so they needed one more person to share the cost.

- I considered not going, since a) it was a biggish unexpected expense and b) I could fucking die. The answer to the question "Does this spark joy?" was "Yes", and I would probably not die, and didn't.

- I took a motion sickness pill, and didn't get sleepy.

- They asked us who wanted the front seat. There was a 2-second silence, so... I... pounced... on... the... front... seat. :B There were 3 seats in the back, so one unfortunate passenger didn't get a window seat.

- It wasn't as scary as I had expected. Nice and smooth takeoff, not violent like a plane. D: Planes are scary. But probably safer than helicopters.

- Our route: Säve Airport - Marstrand - the northern archipelago of Gothenburg - central Gothenburg - back to Säve.

- The weather was perfect, and we were the final group of the day, meaning we got the best, warmest shootin-light. :)

- Afterwards I asked C why she had invited little old me. "Did 50 other people say no, hehe?" She said she had offered the spot to someone else, but they wanted to bring their kids, so... C had asked herself "Hmmm, whom do we know who's only one person, and childfree, and...?" :D

- I became a bit bitter about not being a helicopter pilot (which I had never considered), and kind of had to watch "True lies" the following weekend.

- I might keep going on helicopter tours every 2 years or so...

- I had been on a helicopter once before... when I was 4. I have a (possibly false) memory of seeing swans down on the ocean. Presumably it was a short ride, and it was largely wasted on my young, unappreciative ass. But when I grew up it was nice to be able to say I'd been on a helicopter. :p
