West Window Composite, Norwich Cathedral

            I tried to capture the details of the stained glass window as well as the surrounding stonework inside the cathedral.  Nothing I could do in the camera worked.  I think I would have needed an HDR with a series of exposures covering at least five stops.  I couldn't do that without a tripod, which I purposely did not bring into the cathedral.  So, I cheated a bit and shot an exposure for the window and one for the interior and then later added the properly exposed window to the photo of the stonework using GIMP.  It's not exactly as the naked eye sees it but it's much closer.
