Milwaukee Rd F-units Green Island Iowa 1979

            With the aftermath of the big Blizzard of January 1979 it took weeks for many railroads to get back on  there feet clearing main lines as well as branch lines .Were here at Green Island Iowa where the Omaha  line is the left and the right went to St Paul.This was a big Jct in this small town with only two bar's and 10 houses .This station had a agent 24/7  .On this day Feb 1979 they are changing crews  ready to bring in this southbound [east] into Savanna IL with temperatures at 20 below but inside the station with agent Rich Marburger it was warm and friendly along with the crews Jack Bright and Buster Smith
