The Hobbit Dwarf: Dori - a photo on Flickriver

            ". . . a decent fellow, despite his grumbling."  And. . . his name means ‘borer’ or ‘auger-man’! 

I sometimes see similarities between the happenings/characters of the Bionicles’ Universe and Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Perhaps Dori is a Matoran of Stone, known for their great physical strength? Afterall, Dori was thought to be the strongest dwarf in Thorin’s company!. Matorans of Stone are also 'down-to-earth' and very practical. Even though Dori thinks of himself as somewhat sophisticated, his name's meaning makes me think of Dori as having once been a miner! And . . . what could be more ‘down-to-earth’.
