Oakland 4-6-09 4

            Abandoned street trackage, Louise Street at 32nd, looking south onto Poplar, Oakland CA. Part of a 1.7 mile remnant of the old Key System A and B routes (and later Oakland Terminal) running N-S on Union, Poplar and Louise streets. Looking north onto Louise as the track transitions over from Poplar.

You can see films of the Key System Bridge Units running here on the Pentrex video "California Electric Trilogy". When I took these photos in 2009 it looked like it had been out of service for some years already. The tracks are still there today.
