Stroll to the Beach - a photo on Flickriver

            This was on St. George Island off the coast of Florida, not far from Appalachicola--which has got to be one of the great names for a town.  I vastly prefer the monochrome, but I'm sure I'll be overruled by the vast majority of viewers.  I wish she had been walking a bit to the right, but since this was not posed, I'm thankful she was standing on the railing's shadow at all.  This wasn't a spur-of-the-moment shot, btw.  Noticing those prominent shadow, I set up my camera and waited until someone appeared on the end of this walkway--provided they were on the right side.  I waited quite awhile without success, until this gal passed me by on her way to the beach.  Unfortunately, just as she neared the end, two people appeared, walking up the steps in front of her.  I took the shot anyway, and then removed them digitally from the photo.
