1986 Bedford Rascal - a photo on Flickriver

1986 Bedford Rascal

            An unscheduled interruption to my Polish uploads, after I noticed that one of my contacts posted some photos of this very van participating in a Vauxhall show at Brands Hatch (see comments), and remembered that it featured in a commercial for Interflora I had in my archives – hence this screencap.

Registered in Luton on May Day 1986, that characteristic font on the pressed metal plate (which was also used by Ford) instantly identifies this as a GM pre-reg vehicle.

It is now on its sixth owner, who acquired it as recently as May 2020, and had covered a mere 51,328 miles at its last MOT in August 2022. Unless it saw very light use after its time with Interflora, then I strongly suspect the odo has gone 'round the clock, and the true figure is 151,328.
