111 141-8 te Gandersum op 12-11-2015

            Het einde van de Baureihe 111 met Dosto's in de Regional Express tussen Emden en Münster is in zicht. Vanaf 13 december 2015 wordt de dienst van de Deutsche Bahn overgenomen door de Westfalenbahn met moderne treinstellen van het type Flirt 3.

Op 12 november 2015 is het nog niet zover als de 111 141-8 met een korte RE 26230 Münster Hauptbahnof-Emden Hauptbahnhof langs Gandersum rijdt. Die dag had ik het geluk dat er twee stammen in de dienst zaten zonder een stuurstandrijtuig. Normaal zit het stuurstandrijtuig voorop richting Emden en de loc achterop. Zodoende is de locomotief 's middags qua zonlicht niet meer goed fotografeerbaar nabij Gandersum en Petkum. Vandaag had ik dus het geluk dat door het ontbreken van het stuurstandrijtuig de locomotief voorop reed en mooi in het zonnetje. Aan het eindpunt moest de loc van deze stam steeds omlopen wat de nodige vertragingen met zich meebracht.
