Using a Canon SX70 HS camera with a Raynox DCR-150 Macro Adapter to take Measurements (2 of 3)

Initially all 34 data points were plotted to show the relationship between camera focal length and width of view (using Graph version 4.4.2), but the fit at very low and very high focal lengths was rather disappointing.  However, as in practice I don't use these extreme settings with the DCR-150, the first datum (FL = 15mm) and the last 6 (FLs ranging from 175 - 247mm) were omitted.  The resulting fit - as shown in Photo 2 - was greatly improved, with the deviation between actual and generated values not exceeding 3.2% over the range 20 - 155mm.

The best fit formula is as follow:

Width of View = 1082/(FL**0.9444)
