Preserved West Riding - 640 BHL682 - Leyland Titan PD2/1 - Leyland

            This smart all-Leyland PD2 was new to West Riding, in 10/1948. It is seen here on the A638 Aldams Road, having just left Dewsbury Bus Station, when operating a heritage journey on a return trip to nearby Ravensthorpe, for the Dewsbury Bus Museum Open & Running Day on 17/11/2013. Apparently, this was the first day of carrying passengers for forty years after undergoing extensive restoration, which is a credit to her owners. Behind is Arriva Yorkshire, 1900 YJ58FHA, a Heckmondwike based ADL Trident 2 Enviro 400, new to Arriva Yorkshire West, in 10/2008. The smart green lined out livery of the PD2 contrasting with the drab turquoise livery of Arriva. © Peter Steel 2013.
