Fall colors in the Mid Hudson Valley

            When the trees change colors from summer greens to dull brown just before falling in the first submitting of winters chill there is that short string of days where the fall colors are just right and while working I was never able to catch that day but finally retired I had the chance to catch that day. Taken in Lake Minnewaska State Park by "Peterson's Pellet". Where you see that outcropping of rocks in the upper right of the photo there is another trail with a clear lookout point but I didn't have enough time to do the extra couple miles to get to that point before the sun got too low and will be back exploring that point and some other trails in the park next spring.
