05.03.23. Chamois jouant dans un Névé

            Le chamois est un animal grégaire qui vit en hardes. Une harde se compose de chèvres et de chevreaux de moins de 1 an, de quelques jeunes de plus de 1 an, appelés « éterles » (les femelles) et «éterlous» (les mâles), et de 1 ou 2 mâles adultes.

Le Chamois est ainsi pourvu de véritables raquettes. Il est l’Ongulé de névé et de glacier par excellence.

The chamois is a gregarious animal that lives in herds. A herd consists of goats and kids under 1 year old, a few youngsters over 1 year old, called "éterles" (females) and "éterlous" (males), and 1 or 2 adult males.
The Chamois is thus equipped with real snowshoes. It is the perfect snow and glacier ungulate.
