Lightening Migraine. Old Man's Beard, Clematis vitalba, Gaasperplaspark, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

            Old Man's Beard would seem to be an appropriate name for Clematis vitalba when in Autumn its seeds grow spidery tendrils. But the name Traveller's Joy is apposite as well; each time I run across these vines on my walks my heart lifts up especially when they're catching some light.  The juice of its stems can help those suffering from migraine and then turned-off by this light: crush a stem and apply the juice to your nostrils. It's bound to help. Then you can enjoy!
