White Stuff. Miner Bee, Andrena proxima, on Anthriscus sylvestris, Cow Parsley, Gaasperplas, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

            Here's a Miner Bee on Queen Anne's Lace. Whether it's collecting pollen for a visibly full corbiculum - that white stuff - or sucking up nectar, is unclear. I wasn't sure about our Bee's specific: Bernhard Jacobi has identified it as 'proxima'! That means that it's probably colleting pollen because it doesn't forage for nectar on this kind of plant.
