Sturgeon Point Light - a photo on Flickriver

             Erected in 1869, the light tower at Sturgeon Point was established to warn mariners of the hazard of the  point, which extends one and a half miles into Lake Huron, with much of it submerged depending on variable lake levels.  
The 70 foot tall tower retains its Third-and-a-half Order Fresnel Lens.
