07 - 16-10-15 Berlin Ostkreuz 485 116

            Am 15.10.2016 waren die Renovierungs- und Umbauarbeiten am S-Bahn-Knotenbahnhof „Ostkreuz“ schon recht weit fortgeschritten, so war bereits der breitere Bahnsteig für die Ringbahn in Betrieb.

Dieses Bild zeigt den Zug 485 116 der S-Bahn Baureihe 485.

166 dieser vierteiligen Triebzüge wurden von der Deutschen Reichsbahn als Baureihe 270 ab 1987 bei LEW in Hennigsdorf beschafft und sind im S-Bahn Betrieb bis heute (2020) unentbehrlich.

Auf diesem Bild links ist des Weiteren die „idiotensichere“ mechanische Fahrsperre zu erkennen, das ist der weiße Balken in Höhe des Signals. 

Zeigt das Signal „Fahrt frei“ klappt der Balken aus dem Profil und die S-Bahn kann unbehelligt das Signal passieren.

Bei Halt zeigendem Signal klappt der Balken ins Fahrprofil und ein an Fahrzeug befindlicher Hebel stößt an den Balken und löst so eine Zwangsbremsung aus. 

Dieses recht einfache System wird aktuell durch eine neue elektronische Zugsicherung ersetzt.
