The Pillars of Creation - a photo on Flickriver

            I first visited this spot about 3 years ago and loved it. These are old disused railway lines that passed under the M8 motorway to reach docks that are no longer used. It is beloved of budding grafitti artists and some of the mural artists that have worked so brilliantly about the city have cut their teeth here. On that 1st visit the floor was flooded with large pools and the reflections were magnificent. I managed a decent photo with the simple compact camera I had but the quality of the file didn't allow decent processing to produce the final image I was seeing. I've been back several times over the years but those pools have never been there- until today. My 6yr old daughter Harriet came with me today and loved it. She took a picnic and a picnic blanket and had a great time!
I've borrowed the title from a cool photo taken by the Hubble Telescope of interstellar dust pillars in the Eagle Nebula in Serpens constellation. It seemed really apt
