            This is you could say, my local wharf. I have shot it many times and so am a little bored of it. I wanted a simple composition with a clean background. Unfortunately without a heavy fog, this is not possible. So instead I shot some detail images. At first the fantastic streamlines forming around the pylon caught my attention. I had hoped to capture them but used too long an exposure. Next time I'll shoot shorter, kind of like a time lapse sequence. As a side note, I am an engineer who spends all day behind a computer modelling water supply and drainage systems so fluids are kind of my thing.

I still really like this image. It has the texture of the wharf timbers, it has the darkness / light in the water that I remember and I like the composition. I hope you enjoy this image.
