Will_You_Make_It_In_The_End - a photo on Flickriver

Headed out to the George's River with my good mate Mike to shoot the old bridge pylons and the Lennox weir. Alas the tide was too high, there hadn't been much rainfall and there were no clouds. Shoot didn't go to plan but still got some great images and had a good time as always. Thanks mate :)

The liverpool weir is a really interesting structure from a historical perspective and as a hydraulic engineer, I also find it interesting from a geeky perspective. A couple of panos shot on the fuji, stitched in Autopano and processed in CS / NIK.

Liverpool Weir is state significant for its historical, historical association and rarity values. It is the only weir in NSW known to have been designed by master mason David Lennox. Liverpool Weir was one of the first 'engineered' weirs built in the colony. Built in 1836, it is one of the earliest surviving stone weirs constructed in Australia and one of the few surviving weirs constructed in the early colonial era for the supply of water to a township.
