1993 was the last year that the Dutch National Police ordered Porsches, heralding the end of the Porsche era.  Twenty 964 Cabriolets were ordered, of which this is one.  These Porsches were decorated with so-called Dumbar markings, which are still in use today.  This last batch of Porsches ware not Targas, but rather cabriolets.  The police officers were not all the enthusiastic as the soft top took much valuable space needed for their gear.  Another disadvantage was that there was more noise inside the car than in the Targas.  A big plus, however, was the powerful 250 hp 3,6 liter engine that made the model the fastest Police Porsche ever.  The last Police Porsche was decommissioned in 1996.
