Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel's Car - a photo on Flickriver

Just for the fun of it, and because some of you had asked if they could see the original capture with the whole car which exceeded the three inches rule of Macro Monday by 0,34 inches: Here it is. I think it is different enough from my official MM entry for the "Childhood Toys" theme to justify an upload. First of all, it's bigger, of course, and here I had put the car directly onto the Siemens star, so that is sharp as well. Here the rays, or rather "spokes" (which refers to the white areas; so a Siemens star is a white pattern on a dark background, not the other way round - learning never stops) reminded me of that (in)famous car stunt which I think is called "drifting", where the driver rotates the car at 360 degrees. Since this is the car of a "superhero" (or rather super villain), Harley Quinn, the stunt would be performed on the spot before she and the Joker would speed off with screeching tires after Harley has helped him to escape from Arkham Asylum for the umpteenth time. Harley's real name is the above mentioned Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. She was a young psychiatrist who worked at Arkham Asylum where she met and then fell madly in love with the Joker. Harley Quinn is the Joker's nickname for her, and it's also a play on the word harlequin.

I like both the MM version of the capture and this original one. Please let me know what you think of the two different versions. Thank you very much for taking the time to view (and maybe also comment on) this first version as well.

Jokers Fluchtauto

Einfach mal zum Spaß und weil auch einige von Euch gerne wissen wollten, wie denn die ursprüngliche Version meines MM-Fotos für das Thema "Childhood Toys" mit dem ganzen Auto aussieht: Hier ist sie. Für MM war dieses Foto geringfügig zu groß; da mir diese Ur-Version aber auch gut gefällt, zeige ich sie Euch einfach mal. Der deutlichste Unterschied, neben dem ganzen Auto statt des Ausschnitts, den ich für MM wählen musste, ist natürlich der durchgängig scharfe Siemensstern. Hier hatte ich das Auto nämlich direkt auf den Stern gestellt, anstatt ihn unter das Glastischchen zu legen. Die "Strahlen" des Siemenssterns erinnern mich in dieser Version auch an den berühmt-berüchtigten Autostunt, bei dem der Fahrer den Wagen beim Fahren um 360 Grad rotiert - Driften nennt man das wohl -, mit viel Qualm und Lärm verbunden, natürlich. 

Harley Quinn, deren Wagen dies ist, ist eine Gestalt aus dem Batman-Universum. Ihr richtiger Name lautet Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. Als junge Psychiaterin traf sie in der Nervenheilanstalt von Arkham City auf den Joker, den prominentesten und gefährlichsten Insassen dieser Anstalt, und verliebte sich sofort unsterblich in ihn. Und da man für den Liebsten natürlich so einiges, wenn nicht gar alles tut, verhalf sie ihm denn auch gleich mehrfach zur Flucht, wahrscheinlich unter anderem in diesem Flitzer :-) Der Joker war es übrigens auch, der ihr den Namen Harley Quinn gab, der zugleich auch eine Anspielung auf das Wort "Harlekin" ist.
