Wait, don't call Child Protective Services on me!

Back in 2001, when I heard that the old Sprague Electric complex in North Adams had been turned into a museum, I had to go. We brought along our son, who had been walking for only a few weeks, and wheeled him into one of the biggest exhibit halls, then turned him loose.

He'd never walked anywhere bigger than our little living room and he was enthralled. He waddled up and down, squealing with delight as the giant Uberorgan up above honked and hooted random tunes. Every so often he'd fall down, then get up and wobble around some more. It's one of those moments a parent never forgets.

One Saturday this past January we loaded up with bagels and Mountain Dew and headed back there with cameras. But we never made it past the boiler house.

Which brings me to my next series of photos ...
