            When I think of all of those fun nursery rhythms, I can't help but think of childhood.  If you have a minute to spare...recite some of those good old nursery rhythms to a child...any child to keep the rhythms alive.  Trust me, they'll stick in the mind of that child for a lifetime.

Dig out the good old ones...ones you remember from your own childhood and share with your own children or grandchildren.  It's such a shame to let these things die.

A neighbor, a cousin or a friend's child.  Remember..the best gifts in life are free and sometimes the ones that kids love and remember the most..TIME SPENT WITH THEM...no matter how short.

The above sunflower was planted courtesy of either a Cardinal, Blue Jay, Dove or Sparrow that relishes every bite of seeds they eat from my front yard basket or feeder full of sunflower seeds. They've dropped so many seeds that I have a beautiful sunflower patch...thanks for my fine feathered friends.

If you've never heard the nursery rhyme that I've used as my title, here goes:

There once was a girl, who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good, she was very very good
When she was bad, she was horrid.

When my daughter was age 5....this nursery rhythm could easily have applied to her.  From age 5-6 she was "hell on wheels" ( excuse me..but she was ) with her crankiness and being mean to her brother.  After she turned age 6...I got my good little girl back once again.  Don't ask me what happened between the ages of 5 and 6...but it never came back again.

Enjoy this unique sunflower with the curl..right in the middle of her forehead.  She ( my sunflower ) is very very good...never horrid !!  ; )
