Rare Yellow Christmas Cactus... - a photo on Flickriver

            This is my very favorite Christmas cactus and it is so fragile.

It is a real rare thing to have a Yellow....yes, yellow Christmas cactus.

It is funny but my Christmas cactus bloom everything Thanksgiving and not so much at Christmas time.

I've made many new plants out of this one original plant and given oh so many away.  It is always nice to hear from people in the community that they thought about me when their "rainbow" Christmas cactus bloomed.

When I start a new Christmas cactus for a family or for a friend, I always break a cutting off of ALL of my plants in a vast array of colors.  That way, when they bloom, all in one pot, it looks like a rainbow.  

The yellow just doesn't seem to grow as fast as all of the other colors and yet, when it blooms....it is breathtaking.
