BABY SAM.....has arrived.... - a photo on Flickriver

            Samuel Alan has arrived.  "Baby Sam" as his big sister,  Maya calls him.

As a matter of fact, this was just right after they cleaned the baby and gave him back to his Mommy.  My daughter did really GREAT t his time with labor and delivery.

He was due June 23.....but a regular doctor check on June 21 warranted being admitted that night.  

Gi Gi......that's me.....stayed all night with Maya so Mommy and Daddy could take suitcases and leave at 4:00 am the morning of June 22.

With her labor being induced at a little after 7:00 am......."Baby Sam" was born at 10:15 am....a very few short hours later.

He is the most wonderful baby.  He only cries "lightly" when he's getting a poo poo diaper changed and fusses when he is hungry...can't even call it a cry.  He loves watching his big sister and is not crazy about binkies like his big sister was.

He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

He has the "Kelly" chin like I have, my daughter has and my son has.  He has a lot more hair than Maya had.  She did not have much at all.  Both of my kids had a head full of dark hair at birth.

He's got the cutest little features.....such a good baby.

Oh with all of the "baby doll" practice....Maya has now announced that he is "her baby" and she wants to take care of him.

She fusses and fusses over him like a little Mother hen.   She holds him, burps him ( with supervision ) and just loves it.   They could not ask for a better big sister.
