43312+43238 Aberdeen Clayhills depot. 27-9-15

            The set went onto work as ECS to Aberdeen station then forward with the 11-47 to Kings Cross. I was the driver as far as Newcastle. This was a full recently re-liveried Virgin set.

I have other shots of this very locomotive in extremely unusual circumstances in British Rail days over 31 years earlier as 43112. I've a series taken of it alone in a siding at Durham station on 2-7-1984. I also have a single shot of it at the rear of a derailed HST set (1S03 Leeds to Aberdeen) taken at Birtley , Tyne and Wear exactly two months later on the 2nd of September 1984. Thankfully, although this was a serious derailment at approximately 40 mph no fatalities occurred.
