I was the driver as far as Newcastle.

She was also was the final HST that I had driven over the Highland Main Line en route to Inverness with the down Highland Chieftain service on the 2nd December 2019.

This locomotive remains the most travelled traction unit in UK railway history. Apparently she had covered over 9 million miles when withdrawn by LNER in December 2019. I'm glad to say I've added quite a few thousand miles to that total!
