WHH GT 21/18 - a photo on Flickriver

WHH GT 21/18

I am not entirely sure about the classification of this building but I believe it is a WHH GT type building made with precast concrete slabs in the former GDR. This one is located in Marzahn on the eastern outskirts of Berlin. It has 21 stories and 296 apartments.

Ich bin bei der Klassifizierung nicht ganz sicher, vermute aber dass es sich um den Plattenbau-Typ WHH GT 18 handelt.

Die Abkürzung WHH bezeichnet den Typus Wohnhochhaus, das GT steht für die angewendete Großtafelbauweise, und die 18 für die Anzahl der Geschosse. Das Gebäude ist als freistehendes Punkthochhaus oder unter der Bezeichnung WHH GT 21/18 als Doppelhochhaus mit 21 Etagen mit der Laststufe 6,3 t konzipiert. Je nach Ausführung beherbergt es 136 oder 296 Wohnungen und gehörte zu den größten Typenbauten der DDR.
